Grace Note 4.14.11

Today, Publik Transit leadership, Ashley Peoples and Blue Suede, joined the usual Ayudagente crew--Jalik, AjaRAY, Melanie, Shantel Dean, Cheryl Harvard and myself, for a spirited afternoon of serving food to the homeless. On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, Atlanta hip-hop artist, Jalik, rounds up local artists for Ayudagente--"help people," in Spanish. Today's adventure in service advanced a level when we met Ms. Anita Beaty, Executive Director of the Metro Atlanta Task Force for the Homeless. The Downtown Atlanta shelter is across the street from the Ayudagente serving location. It feeds and houses hundreds of the city's homeless, nightly. A meeting between the start-up and the establishment was certainly in order, given the proximity. And the shelter welcomed Ayudagente with open arms, so you can look forward to making some time to serve with us in two weeks. More connections means more homeless to serve--and that means we'll need more hands spreading bread and plying bologna.

* Follow and Ask @jalikin3d and @homelessGA.

* Add and Ask Jalik Hybrid on Facebook.

And if I may add a grace note: Publik Transit's Music Monday Mixer is April 18th at 6:30pm. Yours Truly is the featured artist, and it would brush a ribbon of butterscotch around my heart to see all eyes reading this now, in the room that evening. If you won't be able to make it out, the Publik Transit family would appreciate you sharing this information.

Need more details on the Music Monday Mixer?

* Follow and Ask @adeadendkid, @imit8ionoflife, or @publiktransit.

* You may also email info@publiktransit.com with "Music Monday Mixer" as the subject.

Lastly, if you haven't yet partaken in "A Reflection of Process 2.0," then please do. We'll be continuing that segment--which has yet to be named--next Tuesday. Have a beautiful weekend!

Peace.
